Page 1 · Ayat 1–10
Ayat 1:
نٓ وَ وَٱلْقَلَ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ1:নূন। শপথ কলমের এবং সেই বিষয়ের যা তারা লিপিবদ্ধ করে,
1:Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe,
Ayat 2:
مَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍ2:আপনার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহে আপনি উম্মাদ নন।
2:You are not, [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman.
Ayat 3:
وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ3:আপনার জন্যে অবশ্যই রয়েছে অশেষ পুরস্কার।
3:And indeed, for you is a reward uninterrupted.
Ayat 4:
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ4:আপনি অবশ্যই মহান চরিত্রের অধিকারী।
4:And indeed, you are of a great moral character.
Ayat 5:
فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ5:সত্ত্বরই আপনি দেখে নিবেন এবং তারাও দেখে নিবে।
5:So you will see and they will see
Ayat 6:
بِأَييِّكُمُ ٱلْمَفْتُونُ6:কে তোমাদের মধ্যে বিকারগ্রস্ত।
6:Which of you is the afflicted [by a devil].
Ayat 7:
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ7:আপনার পালনকর্তা সম্যক জানেন কে তাঁর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়েছে এবং তিনি জানেন যারা সৎপথ প্রাপ্ত।
7:Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has gone astray from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.
Ayat 8:
فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ8:অতএব, আপনি মিথ্যারোপকারীদের আনুগত্য করবেন না।
8:Then do not obey the deniers.
Ayat 9:
وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ9:তারা চায় যদি আপনি নমনীয় হন, তবে তারাও নমনীয় হবে।
9:They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].
Ayat 10:
وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَّهِينٍ10:যে অধিক শপথ করে, যে লাঞ্ছিত, আপনি তার আনুগত্য করবেন না।
10:And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer

Ayat 11:
هَمَّازٍ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍ11:যে পশ্চাতে নিন্দা করে একের কথা অপরের নিকট লাগিয়ে ফিরে।
11:[And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -
Ayat 12:
مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ12:যে ভাল কাজে বাধা দেয়, সে সীমালংঘন করে, সে পাপিষ্ঠ,
12:A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful,
Ayat 13:
عُتُلٍّۭ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ13:কঠোর স্বভাব, তদুপরি কুখ্যাত;
13:Cruel, moreover, and an illegitimate pretender.
Ayat 14:
أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍ وَبَنِينَ14:এ কারণে যে, সে ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান সন্ততির অধিকারী।
14:Because he is a possessor of wealth and children,
Ayat 15:
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ15:তার কাছে আমার আয়াত পাঠ করা হলে সে বলে; সেকালের উপকথা।
15:When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
Ayat 16:
سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ16:আমি তার নাসিকা দাগিয়ে দিব।
16:We will brand him upon the snout.
Ayat 17:
إِنَّا بَلَوْنَـٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ17:আমি তাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করেছি, যেমন পরীক্ষা করেছি উদ্যানওয়ালাদের, যখন তারা শপথ করেছিল যে, সকালে বাগানের ফল আহরণ করবে,
17:Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning
Ayat 18:
وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ18:ইনশাআল্লাহ না বলে।
18:Without making exception.
Ayat 19:
فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ19:অতঃপর আপনার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে বাগানে এক বিপদ এসে পতিত হলো। যখন তারা নিদ্রিত ছিল।
19:So there came upon the garden an affliction from your Lord while they were asleep.
Ayat 20:
فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَٱلصَّرِيمِ20:ফলে সকাল পর্যন্ত হয়ে গেল ছিন্নবিচ্ছিন্ন তৃণসম।
20:And it became as though reaped.
Page 3 · Ayat 21–30
Ayat 21:
فَتَنَادَوْا۟ مُصْبِحِينَ21:সকালে তারা একে অপরকে ডেকে বলল,
21:And they called one another at morning,
Ayat 22:
أَنِ ٱغْدُوا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰرِمِينَ22:তোমরা যদি ফল আহরণ করতে চাও, তবে সকাল সকাল ক্ষেতে চল।
22:[Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit."
Ayat 23:
فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَتَخَـٰفَتُونَ23:অতঃপর তারা চলল ফিসফিস করে কথা বলতে বলতে,
23:So they set out, while lowering their voices,
Ayat 24:
أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُم مِّسْكِينٌ24:অদ্য যেন কোন মিসকীন ব্যক্তি তোমাদের কাছে বাগানে প্রবেশ করতে না পারে।
24:[Saying], "There will surely not enter it today upon you [any] poor person."
Ayat 25:
وَغَدَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْدٍ قَـٰدِرِينَ25:তারা সকালে লাফিয়ে লাফিয়ে সজোরে রওয়ানা হল।
25:And they went early in determination, [assuming themselves] able.
Ayat 26:
فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ26:অতঃপর যখন তারা বাগান দেখল, তখন বললঃ আমরা তো পথ ভূলে গেছি।
26:But when they saw it, they said, "Indeed, we are lost;
Ayat 27:
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ27:বরং আমরা তো কপালপোড়া,
27:Rather, we have been deprived."
Ayat 28:
قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ28:তাদের উত্তম ব্যক্তি বললঃ আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলিনি? এখনও তোমরা আল্লাহ তা’আলার পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করছো না কেন?
28:The most moderate of them said, "Did I not say to you, 'Why do you not exalt [Allah]?' "
Ayat 29:
قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ29:তারা বললঃ আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তার পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করছি, নিশ্চিতই আমরা সীমালংঘনকারী ছিলাম।
29:They said, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
Ayat 30:
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَلَـٰوَمُونَ30:অতঃপর তারা একে অপরকে ভৎর্সনা করতে লাগল।
30:Then they approached one another, blaming each other.
Page 4 · Ayat 31–40
Ayat 31:
قَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَـٰغِينَ31:তারা বললঃ হায়! দুর্ভোগ আমাদের আমরা ছিলাম সীমাতিক্রমকারী।
31:They said, "O woe to us; indeed we were transgressors.
Ayat 32:
عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٰغِبُونَ32:সম্ভবতঃ আমাদের পালনকর্তা পরিবর্তে এর চাইতে উত্তম বাগান আমাদেরকে দিবেন। আমরা আমাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে আশাবাদী।
32:Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous."
Ayat 33:
كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ33:শাস্তি এভাবেই আসে এবং পরকালের শাস্তি আরও গুরুতর; যদি তারা জানত!
33:Such is the punishment [of this world]. And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.
Ayat 34:
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ34:মোত্তাকীদের জন্যে তাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে রয়েছে নেয়ামতের জান্নাত।
34:Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure.
Ayat 35:
أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ35:আমি কি আজ্ঞাবহদেরকে অপরাধীদের ন্যায় গণ্য করব?
35:Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals?
Ayat 36:
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ36:তোমাদের কি হল ? তোমরা কেমন সিদ্ধান্ত দিচ্ছ?
36:What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge?
Ayat 37:
أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَـٰبٌ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ37:তোমাদের কি কোন কিতাব আছে, যা তোমরা পাঠ কর।
37:Or do you have a scripture in which you learn
Ayat 38:
إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ38:তাতে তোমরা যা পছন্দ কর, তাই পাও?
38:That indeed for you is whatever you choose?
Ayat 39:
أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَـٰنٌ عَلَيْنَا بَـٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ39:না তোমরা আমার কাছ থেকেকেয়ামত পর্যন্ত বলবৎ কোন শপথ নিয়েছ যে, তোমরা তাই পাবে যা তোমরা সিদ্ধান্ত করবে?
39:Or do you have oaths [binding] upon Us, extending until the Day of Resurrection, that indeed for you is whatever you judge?
Ayat 40:
سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُم بِذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ40:আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করুন তাদের কে এ বিষয়ে দায়িত্বশীল?
40:Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible.
Page 5 · Ayat 41–50
Ayat 41:
أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَـٰدِقِينَ41:না তাদের কোন শরীক উপাস্য আছে? থাকলে তাদের শরীক উপাস্যদেরকে উপস্থিত করুক যদি তারা সত্যবাদী হয়।
41:Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful.
Ayat 42:
يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ42:গোছা পর্যন্ত পা খোলার দিনের কথা স্মরণ কর, সেদিন তাদেরকে সেজদা করতে আহবান জানানো হবে, অতঃপর তারা সক্ষম হবে না।
42:The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able,
Ayat 43:
خَـٰشِعَةً أَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَـٰلِمُونَ43:তাদের দৃষ্টি অবনত থাকবে; তারা লাঞ্ছনাগ্রস্ত হবে, অথচ যখন তারা সুস্থ ও স্বাভাবিক অবস্থায় ছিল, তখন তাদেরকে সেজদা করতে আহবান জানানো হত।
43:Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound.
Ayat 44:
فَذَرْنِى وَمَن يُكَذِّبُ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ44:অতএব, যারা এই কালামকে মিথ্যা বলে, তাদেরকে আমার হাতে ছেড়ে দিন, আমি এমন ধীরে ধীরে তাদেরকে জাহান্নামের দিকে নিয়ে যাব যে, তারা জানতে পারবে না।
44:So leave Me, [O Muhammad], with [the matter of] whoever denies the Qur'an. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know.
Ayat 45:
وَأُمْلِى لَهُمْ إِنَّ كَيْدِى مَتِينٌ45:আমি তাদেরকে সময় দেই। নিশ্চয় আমার কৌশল মজবুত।
45:And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.
Ayat 46:
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ46:আপনি কি তাদের কাছে পারিশ্রমিক চান? ফলে তাদের উপর জরিমানার বোঝা পড়ছে?
46:Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?
Ayat 47:
أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ47:না তাদের কাছে গায়বের খবর আছে? অতঃপর তারা তা লিপিবদ্ধ করে।
47:Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?
Ayat 48:
فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌ48:আপনি আপনার পালনকর্তার আদেশের অপেক্ষায় সবর করুন এবং মাছওয়ালা ইউনুসের মত হবেন না, যখন সে দুঃখাকুল মনে প্রার্থনা করেছিল।
48:Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed.
Ayat 49:
لَّوْلَآ أَن تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ نِعْمَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌ49:যদি তার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ তাকে সামাল না দিত, তবে সে নিন্দিত অবস্থায় জনশুন্য প্রান্তরে নিক্ষিপ্ত হত।
49:If not that a favor from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured.
Ayat 50:
فَٱجْتَبَـٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ50:অতঃপর তার পালনকর্তা তাকে মনোনীত করলেন এবং তাকে সৎকর্মীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে নিলেন।
50:And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous.
Page 6 · Ayat 51–52
Ayat 51:
وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌ51:কাফেররা যখন কোরআন শুনে, তখন তারা তাদের দৃষ্টি দ্বারা যেন আপনাকে আছাড় দিয়ে ফেলে দিবে এবং তারা বলেঃ সে তো একজন পাগল।
51:And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad."
Ayat 52:
وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ52:অথচ এই কোরআন তো বিশ্বজগতের জন্যে উপদেশ বৈ নয়।
52:But it is not except a reminder to the worlds.
