Ayat 1:
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ1:যারা মাপে কম করে, তাদের জন্যে দুর্ভোগ,
1:Woe to those who give less [than due],
Ayat 2:
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ2:যারা লোকের কাছ থেকে যখন মেপে নেয়, তখন পূর্ণ মাত্রায় নেয়
2:Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
Ayat 3:
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ3:এবং যখন লোকদেরকে মেপে দেয় কিংবা ওজন করে দেয়, তখন কম করে দেয়।
3:But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
Ayat 4:
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ4:তারা কি চিন্তা করে না যে, তারা পুনরুত্থিত হবে।
4:Do they not think that they will be resurrected
Ayat 5:
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ5:সেই মহাদিবসে,
5:For a tremendous Day -
Ayat 6:
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ6:যেদিন মানুষ দাঁড়াবে বিশ্ব পালনকর্তার সামনে।
6:The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
Ayat 7:
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ7:এটা কিছুতেই উচিত নয়, নিশ্চয় পাপাচারীদের আমলনামা সিজ্জীনে আছে।
7:No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
Ayat 8:
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ8:আপনি জানেন, সিজ্জীন কি?
8:And what can make you know what is sijjeen?
Ayat 9:
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ9:এটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।
9:It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
Ayat 10:
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ10:সেদিন দুর্ভোগ মিথ্যারোপকারীদের,
10:Woe, that Day, to the deniers,

Ayat 11:
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ11:যারা প্রতিফল দিবসকে মিথ্যারোপ করে।
11:Who deny the Day of Recompense.
Ayat 12:
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ12:প্রত্যেক সীমালংঘনকারী পাপিষ্ঠই কেবল একে মিথ্যারোপ করে।
12:And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.
Ayat 13:
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ13:তার কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করা হলে সে বলে, পুরাকালের উপকথা।
13:When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
Ayat 14:
كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ14:কখনও না, বরং তারা যা করে, তাই তাদের হৃদয় মরিচা ধরিয়ে দিয়েছে।
14:No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.
Ayat 15:
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ15:কখনও না, তারা সেদিন তাদের পালনকর্তার থেকে পর্দার অন্তরালে থাকবে।
15:No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
Ayat 16:
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو ٱلْجَحِيمِ16:অতঃপর তারা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে।
16:Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
Ayat 17:
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ17:এরপর বলা হবে, একেই তো তোমরা মিথ্যারোপ করতে।
17:Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."
Ayat 18:
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ18:কখনও না, নিশ্চয় সৎলোকদের আমলনামা আছে ইল্লিয়্যীনে।
18:No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.
Ayat 19:
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ19:আপনি জানেন ইল্লিয়্যীন কি?
19:And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun?
Ayat 20:
كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ20:এটা লিপিবদ্ধ খাতা।
20:It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

Ayat 21:
يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ21:আল্লাহর নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্ত ফেরেশতাগণ একে প্রত্যক্ষ করে।
21:Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
Ayat 22:
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ22:নিশ্চয় সৎলোকগণ থাকবে পরম আরামে,
22:Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
Ayat 23:
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ23:সিংহাসনে বসে অবলোকন করবে।
23:On adorned couches, observing.
Ayat 24:
تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ24:আপনি তাদের মুখমন্ডলে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের সজীবতা দেখতে পাবেন।
24:You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
Ayat 25:
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ25:তাদেরকে মোহর করা বিশুদ্ধ পানীয় পান করানো হবে।
25:They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.
Ayat 26:
خِتَـٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ26:তার মোহর হবে কস্তুরী। এ বিষয়ে প্রতিযোগীদের প্রতিযোগিতা করা উচিত।
26:The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
Ayat 27:
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ27:তার মিশ্রণ হবে তসনীমের পানি।
27:And its mixture is of Tasneem,
Ayat 28:
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ28:এটা একটা ঝরণা, যার পানি পান করবে নৈকট্যশীলগণ।
28:A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.
Ayat 29:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو يَضْحَكُونَ29:যারা অপরাধী, তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে উপহাস করত।
29:Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
Ayat 30:
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ30:এবং তারা যখন তাদের কাছ দিয়ে গমন করত তখন পরস্পরে চোখ টিপে ইশারা করত।
30:And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
Page 4 · Ayat 31–36
Ayat 31:
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ31:তারা যখন তাদের পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছে ফিরত, তখনও হাসাহাসি করে ফিরত।
31:And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
Ayat 32:
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ32:আর যখন তারা বিশ্বাসীদেরকে দেখত, তখন বলত, নিশ্চয় এরা বিভ্রান্ত।
32:And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
Ayat 33:
وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ33:অথচ তারা বিশ্বাসীদের তত্ত্বাবধায়করূপে প্রেরিত হয়নি।
33:But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
Ayat 34:
فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ34:আজ যারা বিশ্বাসী, তারা কাফেরদেরকে উপহাস করছে।
34:So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,
Ayat 35:
عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ35:সিংহাসনে বসে, তাদেরকে অবলোকন করছে,
35:On adorned couches, observing.
Ayat 36:
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ36:কাফেররা যা করত, তার প্রতিফল পেয়েছে তো?
36:Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
