Ayat 1:
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ1:আবু লাহাবের হস্তদ্বয় ধ্বংস হোক এবং ধ্বংস হোক সে নিজে,
1:May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
Ayat 2:
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ2:কোন কাজে আসেনি তার ধন-সম্পদ ও যা সে উপার্জন করেছে।
2:His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
Ayat 3:
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ3:সত্বরই সে প্রবেশ করবে লেলিহান অগ্নিতে
3:He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
Ayat 4:
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ4:এবং তার স্ত্রীও-যে ইন্ধন বহন করে,
4:And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
Ayat 5:
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ5:তার গলদেশে খর্জুরের রশি নিয়ে।
5:Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
