Surah Al-Hajj 22:1 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ شَىْءٌ عَظِيمٌ1:হে লোক সকল! তোমাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় কর। নিশ্চয় কেয়ামতের প্রকম্পন একটি ভয়ংকর ব্যাপার।
1:O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:2 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَـٰرَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَـٰرَىٰ وَلَـٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ2:যেদিন তোমরা তা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, সেদিন প্রত্যেক স্তন্যধাত্রী তার দুধের শিশুকে বিস্মৃত হবে এবং প্রত্যেক গর্ভবতী তার গর্ভপাত করবে এবং মানুষকে তুমি দেখবে মাতাল; অথচ তারা মাতাল নয় বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহর আযাব সুকঠিন।
2:On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:3 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَـٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَـٰنٍ مَّرِيدٍ3:কতক মানুষ অজ্ঞানতাবশতঃ আল্লাহ সম্পꦣ2503;ক বিতর্ক করে এবং প্রত্যেক অবাধ্য শয়তানের অনুসরণ করে।
3:And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:4 — Word-by-Word Meaning
كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ4:শয়তান সম্পর্কে লিখে দেয়া হয়েছে যে, যে কেউ তার সাথী হবে, সে তাকে বিভ্রান্ত করবে এবং দোযখের আযাবের দিকে পরিচালিত করবে।
4:It has been decreed for every devil that whoever turns to him - he will misguide him and will lead him to the punishment of the Blaze.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:5 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْـًٔا ۚ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ5:হে লোকসকল! যদি তোমরা পুনরুত্থানের ব্যাপারে সন্দিগ্ধ হও, তবে (ভেবে দেখ-) আমি তোমাদেরকে মৃত্তিকা থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছি। এরপর বীর্য থেকে, এরপর জমাট রক্ত থেকে, এরপর পূর্ণাকৃতিবিশিষ্ট ও অপূর্ণাকৃতিবিশিষ্ট মাংসপিন্ড থেকে, তোমাদের কাছে ব্যক্ত করার জন্যে। আর আমি এক নির্দিষ্ট কালের জন্যে মাতৃগর্ভে যা ইচ্ছা রেখে দেই, এরপর আমি তোমাদেরকে শিশু অবস্থায় বের করি; তারপর যাতে তোমরা যৌবনে পদার্পণ কর। তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ মৃত্যুমুখে পতিত হয় এবং তোমাদের মধ্যে কাউকে নিষ্কর্মা বয়স পর্যন্ত পৌছানো হয়, যাতে সে জানার পর জ্ঞাত বিষয় সম্পর্কে সজ্ঞান থাকে না। তুমি ভূমিকে পতিত দেখতে পাও, অতঃপর আমি যখন তাতে বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করি, তখন তা সতেজ ও স্ফীত হয়ে যায় এবং সর্বপ্রকার সুদৃশ্য উদ্ভিদ উৎপন্ন করে।
5:O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:6 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ6:এগুলো এ কারণে যে, আল্লাহ সত্য এবং তিনি মৃতকে জীবিত করেন এবং তিনি সবকিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান।
6:That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent
Surah Al-Hajj 22:7 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَن فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ7:এবং এ কারণে যে, কেয়ামত অবশ্যম্ভাবী, এতে সন্দেহ নেই এবং এ কারণে যে, কবরে যারা আছে, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে পুনরুত্থিত করবেন।
7:And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:8 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَـٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَـٰبٍ مُّنِيرٍ8:কতক মানুষ জ্ঞান; প্রমাণ ও উজ্জ্বল কিতাব ছাড়াই আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে।
8:And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening book [from Him],
Surah Al-Hajj 22:9 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ثَانِىَ عِطْفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ9:সে পার্শ্ব পরিবর্তন করে বিতর্ক করে, যাতে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিভ্রান্ত করে দেয়। তার জন্যে দুনিয়াতে লাঞ্ছনা আছে এবং কেয়ামতের দিন আমি তাকে দহন-যন্ত্রণা আস্বাদন করাব।
9:Twisting his neck [in arrogance] to mislead [people] from the way of Allah. For him in the world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning Fire [while it is said],
Surah Al-Hajj 22:10 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّـٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ10:এটা তোমার দুই হাতের কর্মের কারণে, আল্লাহ বান্দাদের প্রতি জুলুম করেন না।
10:"That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants."

Surah Al-Hajj 22:11 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرْفٍ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُۥ خَيْرٌ ٱطْمَأَنَّ بِهِۦ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ ٱنقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِۦ خَسِرَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْخُسْرَانُ ٱلْمُبِينُ11:মানুষের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ দ্বিধা-দ্বন্দ্বে জড়িত হয়ে আল্লাহর এবাদত করে। যদি সে কল্যাণ প্রাপ্ত হয়, তবে এবাদতের উপর কায়েম থাকে এবং যদি কোন পরীক্ষায় পড়ে, তবে পূর্বাবস্থায় ফিরে যায়। সে ইহকালে ও পরকালে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত। এটাই প্রকাশ্য ক্ষতি
11:And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:12 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَدْعُو مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ12:সে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুকে ডাকে, যে তার অপকার করতে পারে না এবং উপকারও করতে পারে না। এটাই চরম পথভ্রষ্টতা।
12:He invokes instead of Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:13 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَدْعُو لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥٓ أَقْرَبُ مِن نَّفْعِهِۦ لَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْعَشِيرُ13:সে এমন কিছুকে ডাকে, যার অপকার উপকারের আগে পৌছে। কত মন্দ এই বন্ধু এবং কত মন্দ এই সঙ্গী।
13:He invokes one whose harm is closer than his benefit - how wretched the protector and how wretched the associate.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:14 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ14:যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যার তলদেশ দিয়ে নির্ঝরণীসমূহ প্রবাহিত হয়। আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা তাই করেন।
14:Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does what He intends.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:15 — Word-by-Word Meaning
مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لْيَقْطَعْ فَلْيَنظُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنَّ كَيْدُهُۥ مَا يَغِيظُ15:সে ধারণা করে যে, আল্লাহ কখনই ইহকালে ও পরকালে রাসূলকে সাহায্য করবেন না, সে একটি রশি আকাশ পর্যন্ত ঝুলিয়ে নিক; এরপর কেটে দিক; অতঃপর দেখুক তার এই কৌশল তার আক্রোশ দূর করে কিনা।
15:Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?
Surah Al-Hajj 22:16 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ ءَايَـٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَـٰتٍ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يُرِيدُ16:এমনিভাবে আমি সুস্পষ্ট আয়াত রূপে কোরআন নাযিল করেছি এবং আল্লাহ-ই যাকে ইচ্ছা হেদায়েত করেন।
16:And thus have We sent the Qur'an down as verses of clear evidence and because Allah guides whom He intends.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:17 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّـٰبِـِٔينَ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ وَٱلْمَجُوسَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ17:যারা মুসলমান, যারা ইহুদী, সাবেয়ী, খ্রীষ্টান, অগ্নিপুজক এবং যারা মুশরেক, কেয়ামতের দিন আল্লাহ অবশ্যই তাদের মধ্যে ফায়সালা করে দেবেন। সবকিছুই আল্লাহর দৃষ্টির সামনে।
17:Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated with Allah - Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, over all things, Witness.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:18 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ18:তুমি কি দেখনি যে, আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে যা কিছু আছে নভোমন্ডলে, যা কিছু আছে ভুমন্ডলে, সূর্য, চন্দ্র, তারকারাজি পর্বতরাজি বৃক্ষলতা, জীবজন্তু এবং অনেক মানুষ। আবার অনেকের উপর অবধারিত হয়েছে শাস্তি। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা লাঞ্ছিত করেন, তাকে কেউ সম্মান দিতে পারে না। আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা তাই করেন
18:Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:19 — Word-by-Word Meaning
۞ هَـٰذَا خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِّن نَّارٍ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ19:এই দুই বাদী বিবাদী, তারা তাদের পালনকর্তা সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে। অতএব যারা কাফের, তাদের জন্যে আগুনের পোশাক তৈরী করা হয়েছে। তাদের মাথার উপর ফুটন্ত পানি ঢেলে দেয়া হবে।
19:These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding water
Surah Al-Hajj 22:20 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يُصْهَرُ بِهِۦ مَا فِى بُطُونِهِمْ وَٱلْجُلُودُ20:ফলে তাদের পেটে যা আছে, তা এবং চর্ম গলে বের হয়ে যাবে।
20:By which is melted that within their bellies and [their] skins.

Surah Al-Hajj 22:21 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلَهُم مَّقَـٰمِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ21:তাদের জন্যে আছে লোহার হাতুড়ি।
21:And for [striking] them are maces of iron.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:22 — Word-by-Word Meaning
كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ22:তারা যখনই যন্ত্রনায় অতিষ্ঠ হয়ে জাহান্নাম থেকে বের হতে চাইবে, তখনই তাদেরকে তাতে ফিরিয়ে দেয়া হবে। বলা হবেঃ দহন শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর।
22:Every time they want to get out of Hellfire from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"
Surah Al-Hajj 22:23 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ23:নিশ্চয় যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং সৎকর্ম করে, আল্লাহ তাদেরকে দাখিল করবেন উদ্যান সমূহে, যার তলদেশ দিয়ে নির্ঝরিণীসমূহ প্রবাহিত হবে। তাদেরকে তথায় স্বর্ণ-কংকন ও মুক্তা দ্বারা অলংকৃত করা হবে এবং তথায় তাদের পোশাক হবে রেশমী।
23:Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:24 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّيِّبِ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ24:তারা পথপ্রদর্শিত হয়েছিল সৎবাক্যের দিকে এবং পরিচালিত হয়েছিল প্রশংসিত আল্লাহর পথপানে।
24:And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:25 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلْنَـٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَآءً ٱلْعَـٰكِفُ فِيهِ وَٱلْبَادِ وَمَن يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍۭ بِظُلْمٍ نُّذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ25:যারা কুফর করে ও আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করে এবং সেই মসজিদে হারাম থেকে বাধা দেয়, যাকে আমি প্রস্তুত করেছি স্থানীয় ও বহিরাগত সকল মানুষের জন্যে সমভাবে এবং যে মসজিদে হারামে অন্যায়ভাবে কোন ধর্মদ্রোহী কাজ করার ইচছা করে, আমি তাদেরকে যন্ত্রানাদায়ক শাস্তি আস্বাদন করাব।
25:Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allah and [from] al-Masjid al-Haram, which We made for the people - equal are the resident therein and one from outside; and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing - We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:26 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَكَانَ ٱلْبَيْتِ أَن لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِى شَيْـًٔا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ26:যখন আমি ইব্রাহীমকে বায়তুল্লাহর স্থান ঠিক করে দিয়েছিলাম যে, আমার সাথে কাউকে শরীক করো না এবং আমার গৃহকে পবিত্র রাখ তাওয়াফকারীদের জন্যে, নামাযে দন্ডায়মানদের জন্যে এবং রকু সেজদাকারীদের জন্যে।
26:And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:27 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَذِّن فِى ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ27:এবং মানুষের মধ্যে হজ্বের জন্যে ঘোষণা প্রচার কর। তারা তোমার কাছে আসবে পায়ে হেঁটে এবং সর্বপ্রকার কৃশকায় উটের পিঠে সওয়ার হয়ে দূর-দূরান্ত থেকে।
27:And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -
Surah Al-Hajj 22:28 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟ مَنَـٰفِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ مَّعْلُومَـٰتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْبَآئِسَ ٱلْفَقِيرَ28:যাতে তারা তাদের কল্যাণের স্থান পর্যন্ত পৌছে এবং নির্দিষ্ট দিনগুলোতে আল্লাহর নাম স্মরণ করে তাঁর দেয়া চতুস্পদ জন্তু যবেহ করার সময়। অতঃপর তোমরা তা থেকে আহার কর এবং দুঃস্থ-অভাবগ্রস্থকে আহার করাও।
28:That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:29 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ29:এরপর তারা যেন দৈহিক ময়লা দূর করে দেয়, তাদের মানত পূর্ণ করে এবং এই সুসংরক্ষিত গৃহের তাওয়াফ করে।
29:Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf around the ancient House."
Surah Al-Hajj 22:30 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ ٱلرِّجْسَ مِنَ ٱلْأَوْثَـٰنِ وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ قَوْلَ ٱلزُّورِ30:এটা শ্রবণযোগ্য। আর কেউ আল্লাহর সম্মানযোগ্য বিধানাবলীর প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শন করলে পালনকর্তার নিকট তা তার জন্যে উত্তম। উল্লেখিত ব্যতিক্রমগুলো ছাড়া তোমাদের জন্যে চতুস্পদ জন্তু হালাল করা হয়েছে। সুতরাং তোমরা মূর্তিদের অপবিত্রতা থেকে বেঁচে থাক এবং মিথ্যা কথন থেকে দূরে সরে থাক;
30:That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,

Surah Al-Hajj 22:31 — Word-by-Word Meaning
حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِۦ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيْرُ أَوْ تَهْوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ سَحِيقٍ31:আল্লাহর দিকে একনিষ্ট হয়ে, তাঁর সাথে শরীক না করে; এবং যে কেউ আল্লাহর সাথে শরীক করল; সে যেন আকাশ থেকে ছিটকে পড়ল, অতঃপর মৃতভোজী পাখী তাকে ছোঁ মেরে নিয়ে গেল অথবা বাতাস তাকে উড়িয়ে নিয়ে কোন দূরবর্তী স্থানে নিক্ষেপ করল।
31:Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:32 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَـٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ32:এটা শ্রবণযোগ্য কেউ আল্লাহর নামযুক্ত বস্তুসমুহের প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শন করলে তা তো তার হৃদয়ের আল্লাহভীতি প্রসূত।
32:That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:33 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَـٰفِعُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ مَحِلُّهَآ إِلَى ٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ33:চতুস্পদ জন্তুসমূহের মধ্যে তোমাদের জন্যে নির্দিষ্টকাল পর্যন্ত উপকার রয়েছে। অতঃপর এগুলোকে পৌছাতে হবে মুক্ত গৃহ পর্যন্ত।
33:For you the animals marked for sacrifice are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:34 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًا لِّيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۗ فَإِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ فَلَهُۥٓ أَسْلِمُوا۟ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُخْبِتِينَ34:আমি প্রত্যেক উম্মতের জন্যে কোরবানী নির্ধারণ করেছি, যাতে তারা আল্লাহর দেয়া চতুস্পদ জন্তু যবেহ কারার সময় আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করে। অতএব তোমাদের আল্লাহ তো একমাত্র আল্লাহ সুতরাং তাঁরই আজ্ঞাধীন থাক এবং বিনয়ীগণকে সুসংবাদ দাও;
34:And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]
Surah Al-Hajj 22:35 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَهُمْ وَٱلْمُقِيمِى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ35:যাদের অন্তর আল্লাহর নাম স্মরণ করা হলে ভীত হয় এবং যারা তাদের বিপদাপদে ধৈর্য্যধারণ করে এবং যারা নামায কায়েম করে ও আমি যা দিয়েছি, তা থেকে ব্যয় করে।
35:Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:36 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَٱلْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَـٰهَا لَكُم مِّن شَعَـٰٓئِرِ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَآفَّ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْقَانِعَ وَٱلْمُعْتَرَّ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنَـٰهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ36:এবং কা’বার জন্যে উৎসর্গীকৃত উটকে আমি তোমাদের জন্যে আল্লাহর অন্যতম নিদর্শন করেছি। এতে তোমাদের জন্যে মঙ্গল রয়েছে। সুতরাং সারিবদ্ধভাবে বাঁধা অবস্থায় তাদের যবেহ করার সময় তোমরা আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ কর। অতঃপর যখন তারা কাত হয়ে পড়ে যায় তখন তা থেকে তোমরা আহার কর এবং আহার করাও যে কিছু যাচ্ঞা করে না তাকে এবং যে যাচ্ঞা করে তাকে। এমনিভাবে আমি এগুলোকে তোমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছি, যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
36:And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:37 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَن يَنَالَ ٱللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلَـٰكِن يَنَالُهُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ37:এগুলোর গোশত ও রক্ত আল্লাহর কাছে পৌঁছে না, কিন্তু পৌঁছে তাঁর কাছে তোমাদের মনের তাকওয়া। এমনিভাবে তিনি এগুলোকে তোমাদের বশ করে দিয়েছেন, যাতে তোমরা আল্লাহর মহত্ত্ব ঘোষণা কর এ কারণে যে, তিনি তোমাদের পথ প্রদর্শন করেছেন। সুতরাং সৎকর্মশীলদের সুসংবাদ শুনিয়ে দিন।
37:Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:38 — Word-by-Word Meaning
۞ إِ ٱللَّهَ يُدَٰفِعُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ38:আল্লাহ মুমিনদের থেকে শত্রুদেরকে হটিয়ে দেবেন। আল্লাহ কোন বিশ্বাসঘাতক অকৃতজ্ঞকে পছন্দ করেন না।
38:Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:39 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَـٰتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا۟ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ39:যুদ্ধে অনুমতি দেয়া হল তাদেরকে যাদের সাথে কাফেররা যুদ্ধ করে; কারণ তাদের প্রতি অত্যাচার করা হয়েছে। আল্লাহ তাদেরকে সাহায্য করতে অবশ্যই সক্ষম।
39:Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:40 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِم بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّآ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لَّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَٰمِعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَصَلَوَٰتٌ وَمَسَـٰجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ كَثِيرًا وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ40:যাদেরকে তাদের ঘর-বাড়ী থেকে অন্যায়ভাবে বহিস্কার করা হয়েছে শুধু এই অপরাধে যে, তারা বলে আমাদের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহ। আল্লাহ যদি মানবজাতির একদলকে অপর দল দ্বারা প্রতিহত না করতেন, তবে (খ্রীষ্টানদের) নির্ঝন গির্জা, এবাদত খানা, (ইহুদীদের) উপাসনালয় এবং মসজিদসমূহ বিধ্বস্ত হয়ে যেত, যেগুলাতে আল্লাহর নাম অধিক স্মরণ করা হয়। আল্লাহ নিশ্চয়ই তাদেরকে সাহায্য করবেন, যারা আল্লাহর সাহায্য করে। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী শক্তিধর।
40:[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
Page 5 · Ayat 41–50
Surah Al-Hajj 22:41 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ٱلَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَمَرُوا۟ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا۟ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَلِلَّهِ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ41:তারা এমন লোক যাদেরকে আমি পৃথিবীতে শক্তি-সামর্থ?2470;ান করলে তারা নামায কায়েম করবে, যাকাত দেবে এবং সৎকাজে আদেশ ও অসৎকাজে নিষেধ করবে। প্রত্যেক কর্মের পরিণাম আল্লাহর এখতিয়ারভূক্ত।
41:[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:42 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ42:তারা যদি আপনাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলে, তবে তাদের পূর্বে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছে কওমে নূহ, আদ, সামুদ,
42:And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - so, before them, did the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud deny [their prophets],
Surah Al-Hajj 22:43 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ43:ইব্রাহীম ও লূতের সম্প্রদায়ও।
43:And the people of Abraham and the people of Lot
Surah Al-Hajj 22:44 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ مَدْيَنَ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ44:এবং মাদইয়ানের অধিবাসীরা এবং মিথ্যাবাদী বলা হয়েছিল মূসাকেও। অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে সুযোগ দিয়েছিলাম এরপর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছিলাম অতএব কি ভীষণ ছিল আমাকে অস্বীকৃতির পরিণাম।
44:And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:45 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ فَهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْرٍ مُّعَطَّلَةٍ وَقَصْرٍ مَّشِيدٍ45:আমি কত জনপদ ধ্বংস করেছি এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা ছিল গোনাহগার। এই সব জনপদ এখন ধ্বংসস্তুপে পরিণত হয়েছে এবং কত কূপ পরিত্যক্ত হয়েছে ও কত সুদৃঢ় প্রাসাদ ধ্বংস হয়েছে।
45:And how many a city did We destroy while it was committing wrong - so it is [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:46 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَا يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ وَلَـٰكِن تَعْمَى ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِى فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ46:তারা কি এই উদ্দেশ্যে দেশ ভ্রমণ করেনি, যাতে তারা সমঝদার হৃদয় ও শ্রবণ শক্তি সম্পন্ন কর্ণের অধিকারী হতে পারে? বস্তুতঃ চক্ষু তো অন্ধ হয় না, কিন্তু বক্ষ স্থিত অন্তরই অন্ধ হয়।
46:So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:47 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ47:তারা আপনাকে আযাব ত্বরান্বিত করতে বলে। অথচ আল্লাহ কখনও তাঁর ওয়াদা ভঙ্গ করেন না। আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে একদিন তোমাদের গণনার এক হাজার বছরের সমান।
47:And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:48 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ48:এবং আমি কত জনপদকে অবকাশ দিয়েছি এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা গোনাহগার ছিল। এরপর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি এবং আমার কাছেই প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে।
48:And for how many a city did I prolong enjoyment while it was committing wrong. Then I seized it, and to Me is the [final] destination.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:49 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ49:বলুনঃ হে লোক সকল! আমি তো তোমাদের জন্যে স্পষ্ট ভাষায় সতর্ককারী।
49:Say, "O people, I am only to you a clear warner."
Surah Al-Hajj 22:50 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ50:সুতরাং যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে এবং সৎকর্ম করেছে, তাদের জন্যে আছে পাপ মার্জনা এবং সম্মানজনক রুযী।
50:And those who have believed and done righteous deeds - for them is forgiveness and noble provision.
Page 6 · Ayat 51–60
Surah Al-Hajj 22:51 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَٱلَّذِينَ سَعَوْا۟ فِىٓ ءَايَـٰتِنَا مُعَـٰجِزِينَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ51:এবং যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে ব্যর্থ করার জন্যে চেষ্টা করে, তারাই দোযখের অধিবাসী।
51:But the ones who strove against Our verses, [seeking] to cause failure - those are the companions of Hellfire.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:52 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ وَلَا نَبِىٍّ إِلَّآ إِذَا تَمَنَّىٰٓ أَلْقَى ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ فِىٓ أُمْنِيَّتِهِۦ فَيَنسَخُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ ثُمَّ يُحْكِمُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ52:আমি আপনার পূর্বে যে সমস্ত রাসূল ও নবী প্রেরণ করেছি, তারা যখনই কিছু কল্পনা করেছে, তখনই শয়তান তাদের কল্পনায় কিছু মিশ্রণ করে দিয়েছে। অতঃপর আল্লাহ দূর করে দেন শয়তান যা মিশ্রণ করে। এরপর আল্লাহ তাঁর আয়াতসমূহকে সু-প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন এবং আল্লাহ জ্ঞানময়, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
52:And We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he spoke [or recited], Satan threw into it [some misunderstanding]. But Allah abolishes that which Satan throws in; then Allah makes precise His verses. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:53 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لِّيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ وَٱلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ لَفِى شِقَاقٍۭ بَعِيدٍ53:এ কারণে যে, শয়তান যা মিশ্রণ করে, তিনি তা পরীক্ষাস্বরূপ করে দেন, তাদের জন্যে, যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে এবং যারা পাষাণহৃদয়। গোনাহগাররা দূরবর্তী বিরোধিতায় লিপ্ত আছে।
53:[That is] so He may make what Satan throws in a trial for those within whose hearts is disease and those hard of heart. And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:54 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُۥ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ54:এবং এ কারণেও যে, যাদেরকে জ্ঞানদান করা হয়েছে; তারা যেন জানে যে এটা আপনার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে সত্য; অতঃপর তারা যেন এতে বিশ্বাস স্তাপন করে এবং তাদের অন্তর যেন এর প্রতি বিজয়ী হয়। আল্লাহই বিশ্বাস স্থাপনকারীকে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেন।
54:And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allah the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:55 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيمٍ55:কাফেররা সর্বদাই সন্দেহ পোষন করবে যে পর্যন্ত না তাদের কাছে আকস্মিকভাবে কেয়ামত এসে পড়ে অথবা এসে পড়ে তাদের কাছে এমন দিবসের শাস্তি যা থেকে রক্ষার উপায় নেই।
55:But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:56 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ56:রাজত্ব সেদিন আল্লাহরই; তিনিই তাদের বিচার করবেন। অতএব যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে তারা নেয়ামত পূর্ণ কাননে থাকবে।
56:[All] sovereignty that Day is for Allah; He will judge between them. So they who believed and did righteous deeds will be in the Gardens of Pleasure.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:57 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ57:এবং যারা কুফরি করে এবং আমার আয়াত সমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে তাদের জন্যে লাঞ্ছনাকর শাস্তি রয়েছে।
57:And they who disbelieved and denied Our signs - for those there will be a humiliating punishment.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:58 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوٓا۟ أَوْ مَاتُوا۟ لَ لَيَرْزُقَنَّهُ ٱللَّهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ58:যারা আল্লাহর পথে গৃহ ত্যাগ করেছে, এরপর নিহত হয়েছে অথবা মরে গেছে; আল্লাহ তাদেরকে অবশ্যই উৎকৃষ্ট জীবিকা দান করবেন এবং আল্লাহ সর্বোৎকৃষ্ট রিযিক দাতা।
58:And those who emigrated for the cause of Allah and then were killed or died - Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:59 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَيُدْخِلَنَّهُم مُّدْخَلًا يَرْضَوْنَهُۥ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ59:তাদেরকে অবশ্যই এমন এক স্থানে পৌছাবেন, যাকে তারা পছন্দ করবে এবং আল্লাহ জ্ঞানময়, সহনশীল।
59:He will surely cause them to enter an entrance with which they will be pleased, and indeed, Allah is Knowing and Forbearing.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:60 — Word-by-Word Meaning
۞ ذَٰلِ وَمَنْ عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِۦ ثُمَّ بُغِىَ عَلَيْهِ لَيَنصُرَنَّهُ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٌ60:এ তো শুনলে, যে ব্যক্তি নিপীড়িত হয়ে নিপীড়ন পরিমাণে প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করে এবং পুনরায় সে নিপীড়িত হয়, আল্লাহ অবশ্যই তাকে সাহায্য করবেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ মার্জনাকারী ক্ষমাশীল।
60:That [is so]. And whoever responds [to injustice] with the equivalent of that with which he was harmed and then is tyrannized - Allah will surely aid him. Indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving.
Page 7 · Ayat 61–70
Surah Al-Hajj 22:61 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ61:এটা এ জন্যে যে, আল্লাহ রাত্রিকে দিনের মধ্যে এবং দিনকে রাত্রির মধ্য দাখিল করে দেন এবং আল্লাহ সবকিছু শোনেন, দেখেন।
61:That is because Allah causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and because Allah is Hearing and Seeing.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:62 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ هُوَ ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ62:এটা এ কারণেও যে, আল্লাহই সত্য; আর তাঁর পরিবর্তে তারা যাকে ডাকে, তা অসত্য এবং আল্লাহই সবার উচ্চে, মহান।
62:That is because Allah is the Truth, and that which they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Grand.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:63 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَتُصْبِحُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ63:তুমি কি দেখ না যে, আল্লাহ আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেন, অতঃপর ভূপৃষ্ট সবুজ-শ্যামল হয়ে উঠে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সুক্ষদর্শী, সর্ববিষয়ে খবরদার।
63:Do you not see that Allah has sent down rain from the sky and the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:64 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ64:নভোমন্ডল ও ভুপৃষ্ঠে যা কিছু আছে, সব তাঁরই এবং আল্লাহই অভাবমুক্ত প্রশংসার অধিকারী।
64:To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:65 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَيُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَآءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ65:তুমি কি দেখ না যে, ভূপৃষ্টে যা আছে এবং সমুদ্রে চলমান নৌকা তৎসমুদয়কে আল্লাহ নিজ আদেশে তোমাদের অধীন করে দিয়েছেন এবং তিনি আকাশ স্থির রাখেন, যাতে তাঁর আদেশ ব্যতীত ভূপৃষ্টে পতিত না হয়। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ মানুষের প্রতি করুণাশীল, দয়াবান।
65:Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He restrains the sky from falling upon the earth, unless by His permission. Indeed Allah, to the people, is Kind and Merciful.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:66 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَكَفُورٌ66:তিনিই তোমাদেরকে জীবিত করেছেন, অতঃপর তিনিই তোমাদেরকে মৃত্যুদান করবেন ও পুনরায় জীবিত করবেন। নিশ্চয় মানুষ বড় অকৃতজ্ঞ।
66:And He is the one who gave you life; then He causes you to die and then will [again] give you life. Indeed, mankind is ungrateful.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:67 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لِّكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًا هُمْ نَاسِكُوهُ فَلَا يُنَـٰزِعُنَّكَ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ وَٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدًى مُّسْتَقِيمٍ67:আমি প্রত্যেক উম্মতের জন্যে এবাদতের একটি নিয়ম-কানুন নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছি, যা তারা পালন করে। অতএব তারা যেন এ ব্যাপারে আপনার সাথে বিতর্ক না করে। আপনি তাদেরকে পালনকর্তার দিকে আহবান করুন। নিশ্চয় আপনি সরল পথেই আছেন।
67:For every religion We have appointed rites which they perform. So, [O Muhammad], let the disbelievers not contend with you over the matter but invite them to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:68 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِن جَـٰدَلُوكَ فَقُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ68:তারা যদি আপনার সাথে বিতর্ক করে, তবে বলে দিন, তোমরা যা কর, সে সর্ম্পকে আল্লাহ অধিক জ্ঞাত।
68:And if they dispute with you, then say, "Allah is most knowing of what you do.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:69 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ69:তোমরা যে বিষয়ে মতবিরোধ করছ, আল্লাহ কিয়ামতের দিন সেই বিষয়ে তোমাদের মধ্যে ফায়সালা করবেন।
69:Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which you used to differ."
Surah Al-Hajj 22:70 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ فِى كِتَـٰبٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ70:তুমি কি জান না যে, আল্লাহ জানেন যা কিছু আকাশে ও ভুমন্ডলে আছে এসব কিতাবে লিখিত আছে। এটা আল্লাহর কাছে সহজ।
70:Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heaven and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.
Page 8 · Ayat 71–78
Surah Al-Hajj 22:71 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَـٰنًا وَمَا لَيْسَ لَهُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ وَمَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍ71:তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুর পূজা করে, যার কোন সনদ নাযিল করা হয়নি এবং সে সম্পর্কে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই। বস্তুতঃ জালেমদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই।
71:And they worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:72 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلْمُنكَرَ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَعَدَهَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ72:যখন তাদের কাছে আমার সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ আবৃত্তি করা হয়, তখন তুমি কাফেরদের চোখে মুখে অসন্তোষের লক্ষণ প্রত্যক্ষ করতে পারবে। যারা তাদের কাছে আমার আয়াত সমূহ পাঠ করে, তারা তাদের প্রতি মার মুখো হয়ে উঠে। বলুন, আমি কি তোমাদেরকে তদপেক্ষা মন্দ কিছুর সংবাদ দেব? তা আগুন; আল্লাহ কাফেরদেরকে এর ওয়াদা দিয়েছেন। এটা কতই না নিকৃষ্ট প্রত্যাবর্তনস্থল।
72:And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve disapproval. They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite to them Our verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that? [It is] the Fire which Allah has promised those who disbelieve, and wretched is the destination."
Surah Al-Hajj 22:73 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا۟ ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ ٱجْتَمَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيْـًٔا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلْمَطْلُوبُ73:হে লোক সকল! একটি উপমা বর্ণনা করা হলো, অতএব তোমরা তা মনোযোগ দিয়ে শোন; তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের পূজা কর, তারা কখনও একটি মাছি সৃষ্টি করতে পারবে না, যদিও তারা সকলে একত্রিত হয়। আর মাছি যদি তাদের কাছ থেকে কোন কিছু ছিনিয়ে নেয়, তবে তারা তার কাছ থেকে তা উদ্ধার করতে পারবে না, প্রার্থনাকারী ও যার কাছে প্রার্থনা করা হয়, উভয়েই শক্তিহীন।
73:O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:74 — Word-by-Word Meaning
مَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ74:তারা আল্লাহর যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদা বোঝেনি। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ শক্তিধর, মহাপরাক্রমশীল।
74:They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:75 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ٱللَّهُ يَصْطَفِى مِنَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ75:আল্লাহ ফেরেশতা ও মানুষের মধ্য থেকে রাসূল মনোনীত করেন। আল্লাহ সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্ব দ্রষ্টা!
75:Allah chooses from the angels messengers and from the people. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:76 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ76:তিনি জানেন যা তাদের সামনে আছে এবং যা পশ্চাতে আছে এবং সবকিছু আল্লাহর দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।
76:He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them. And to Allah will be returned [all] matters.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:77 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُو ٱرْكَعُوا۟ وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱفْعَلُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ77:হে মুমিনগণ! তোমরা রুকু কর, সেজদা কর, তোমাদের পালনকর্তার এবাদত কর এবং সৎকাজ সম্পাদন কর, যাতে তোমরা সফলকাম হতে পার।
77:O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:78 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَجَـٰهِدُوا۟ فِى ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦ هُوَ ٱجْتَبَىٰكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚ هُوَ سَمَّىٰكُمُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِى هَـٰذَا لِيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ فَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُو ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ78:তোমরা আল্লাহর জন্যে শ্রম স্বীকার কর যেভাবে শ্রম স্বীকার করা উচিত। তিনি তোমাদেরকে পছন্দ করেছেন এবং ধর্মের ব্যাপারে তোমাদের উপর কোন সংকীর্ণতা রাখেননি। তোমরা তোমাদের পিতা ইব্রাহীমের ধর্মে কায়েম থাক। তিনিই তোমাদের নাম মুসলমান রেখেছেন পূর্বেও এবং এই কোরআনেও, যাতে রসূল তোমাদের জন্যে সাক্ষ্যদাতা এবং তোমরা সাক্ষ্যদাতা হও মানবমন্ডলির জন্যে। সুতরাং তোমরা নামায কায়েম কর, যাকাত দাও এবং আল্লাহকে শক্তভাবে ধারণ কর। তিনিই তোমাদের মালিক। অতএব তিনি কত উত্তম মালিক এবং কত উত্তম সাহায্যকারী।
78:And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.
