Surah As-Saaffaat 37:1 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ صَفًّا1:শপথ তাদের যারা সারিবদ্ধ হয়ে দাঁড়ানো,
1:By those [angels] lined up in rows
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:2 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًا2:অতঃপর ধমকিয়ে ভীতি প্রদর্শনকারীদের,
2:And those who drive [the clouds]
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:3 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا3:অতঃপর মুখস্থ আবৃত্তিকারীদের-
3:And those who recite the message,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:4 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّ إِلَـٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌ4:নিশ্চয় তোমাদের মাবুদ এক।
4:Indeed, your God is One,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:5 — Word-by-Word Meaning
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ5:তিনি আসমান সমূহ, যমীনও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছুর পালনকর্তা এবং পালনকর্তা উদয়াচলসমূহের।
5:Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:6 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ6:নিশ্চয় আমি নিকটবর্তী আকাশকে তারকারাজির দ্বারা সুশোভিত করেছি।
6:Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:7 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَـٰنٍ مَّارِدٍ7:এবং তাকে সংরক্ষিত করেছি প্রত্যেক অবাধ্য শয়তান থেকে।
7:And as protection against every rebellious devil
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:8 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ8:ওরা উর্ধ্ব জগতের কোন কিছু শ্রবণ করতে পারে না এবং চার দিক থেকে তাদের প্রতি উল্কা নিক্ষেপ করা হয়।
8:[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:9 — Word-by-Word Meaning
دُحُورًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ9:ওদেরকে বিতাড়নের উদ্দেশে। ওদের জন্যে রয়েছে বিরামহীন শাস্তি।
9:Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:10 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ10:তবে কেউ ছোঁ মেরে কিছু শুনে ফেললে জ্বলন্ত উল্কাপিন্ড তার পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করে।
10:Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].

Surah As-Saaffaat 37:11 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍ11:আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন, তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করা কঠিনতর, না আমি অন্য যা সৃষ্টি করেছি? আমিই তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি এঁটেল মাটি থেকে।
11:Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:12 — Word-by-Word Meaning
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ12:বরং আপনি বিস্ময় বোধ করেন আর তারা বিদ্রুপ করে।
12:But you wonder, while they mock,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:13 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ13:যখন তাদেরকে বোঝানো হয়, তখন তারা বোঝে না।
13:And when they are reminded, they remember not.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:14 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَ يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ14:তারা যখন কোন নিদর্শন দেখে তখন বিদ্রূপ করে।
14:And when they see a sign, they ridicule
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:15 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ15:এবং বলে, কিছুই নয়, এযে স্পষ্ট যাদু।
15:And say, "This is not but obvious magic.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:16 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ16:আমরা যখন মরে যাব, এবং মাটি ও হাড়ে পরিণত হয়ে যাব, তখনও কি আমরা পুনরুত্থিত হব?
16:When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:17 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ17:আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষগণও কি?
17:And our forefathers [as well]?"
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:18 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ18:বলুন, হ্যাঁ এবং তোমরা হবে লাঞ্ছিত।
18:Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:19 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ19:বস্তুতঃ সে উত্থান হবে একটি বিকট শব্দ মাত্র-যখন তারা প্রত্যক্ষ করতে থাকবে।
19:It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:20 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ20:এবং বলবে, দুর্ভাগ্য আমাদের! এটাই তো প্রতিফল দিবস।
20:They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense."
Page 3 · Ayat 21–30
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:21 — Word-by-Word Meaning
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ21:বলা হবে, এটাই ফয়সালার দিন, যাকে তোমরা মিথ্যা বলতে।
21:[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:22 — Word-by-Word Meaning
۞ ٱحْشُرُو ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ22:একত্রিত কর গোনাহগারদেরকে, তাদের দোসরদেরকে এবং যাদের এবাদত তারা করত।
22:[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:23 — Word-by-Word Meaning
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ23:আল্লাহ ব্যতীত। অতঃপর তাদেরকে পরিচালিত কর জাহান্নামের পথে,
23:Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:24 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ24:এবং তাদেরকে থামাও, তারা জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে;
24:And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:25 — Word-by-Word Meaning
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ25:তোমাদের কি হল যে, তোমরা একে অপরের সাহায্য করছ না?
25:[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?"
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:26 — Word-by-Word Meaning
بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ26:বরং তারা আজকের দিনে আত্নসমর্পণকারী।
26:But they, that Day, are in surrender.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:27 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ27:তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে পরস্পরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
27:And they will approach one another blaming each other.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:28 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ28:বলবে, তোমরা তো আমাদের কাছে ডান দিক থেকে আসতে।
28:They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:29 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ29:তারা বলবে, বরং তোমরা তো বিশ্বাসীই ছিলে না।
29:The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:30 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَـٰغِينَ30:এবং তোমাদের উপর আমাদের কোন কতৃত্ব ছিল না, বরং তোমরাই ছিলে সীমালংঘনকারী সম্প্রদায়।
30:And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people.
Page 4 · Ayat 31–40
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:31 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ31:আমাদের বিপক্ষে আমাদের পালনকর্তার উক্তিই সত্য হয়েছে। আমাদেরকে অবশই স্বাদ আস্বাদন করতে হবে।
31:So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment].
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:32 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَـٰوِينَ32:আমরা তোমাদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিলাম। কারণ আমরা নিজেরাই পথভ্রষ্ট ছিলাম।
32:And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:33 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ33:তারা সবাই সেদিন শান্তিতে শরীক হবে।
33:So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:34 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ34:অপরাধীদের সাথে আমি এমনি ব্যবহার করে থাকি।
34:Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:35 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ35:তাদের যখন বলা হত, আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য েনই, তখন তারা ঔদ্ধত্য প্রদর্শন করত।
35:Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:36 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓ ءَالِهَتِنَ لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍ36:এবং বলত, আমরা কি এক উম্মাদ কবির কথায় আমাদের উপাস্যদেরকে পরিত্যাগ করব।
36:And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?"
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:37 — Word-by-Word Meaning
بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ37:না, তিনি সত্যসহ আগমন করেছেন এবং রসূলগণের সত্যতা স্বীকার করেছেন।
37:Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:38 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُو ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ38:তোমরা অবশ্যই বেদনাদায়ক শাস্তি আস্বাদন করবে।
38:Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:39 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ39:তোমরা যা করতে, তারই প্রতিফল পাবে।
39:And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do -
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:40 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ40:তবে তারা নয়, যারা আল্লাহর বাছাই করা বান্দা।
40:But not the chosen servants of Allah.

Surah As-Saaffaat 37:41 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ41:তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে নির্ধারিত রুযি।
41:Those will have a provision determined -
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:42 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ42:ফল-মূল এবং তারা সম্মানিত।
42:Fruits; and they will be honored
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:43 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ43:নেয়ামতের উদ্যানসমূহ।
43:In gardens of pleasure
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:44 — Word-by-Word Meaning
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ44:মুখোমুখি হয়ে আসনে আসীন।
44:On thrones facing one another.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:45 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ45:তাদেরকে ঘুরে ফিরে পরিবেশন করা হবে স্বচ্ছ পানপাত্র।
45:There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:46 — Word-by-Word Meaning
بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ46:সুশুভ্র, যা পানকারীদের জন্যে সুস্বাদু।
46:White and delicious to the drinkers;
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:47 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ47:তাতে মাথা ব্যথার উপাদান নেই এবং তারা তা পান করে মাতালও হবে না।
47:No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:48 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌ48:তাদের কাছে থাকবে নত, আয়তলোচনা তরুণীগণ।
48:And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:49 — Word-by-Word Meaning
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ49:যেন তারা সুরক্ষিত ডিম।
49:As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:50 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ50:অতঃপর তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
50:And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.
Page 6 · Ayat 51–60
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:51 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌ51:তাদের একজন বলবে, আমার এক সঙ্গী ছিল।
51:A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:52 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ52:সে বলত, তুমি কি বিশ্বাস কর যে,
52:Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:53 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ53:আমরা যখন মরে যাব এবং মাটি ও হাড়ে পরিণত হব, তখনও কি আমরা প্রতিফল প্রাপ্ত হব?
53:That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'"
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:54 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ54:আল্লাহ বলবেন, তোমরা কি তাকে উকি দিয়ে দেখতে চাও?
54:He will say, "Would you [care to] look?"
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:55 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَا فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ55:অপর সে উকি দিয়ে দেখবে এবং তাকে জাহান্নামের মাঝখানে দেখতে পাবে।
55:And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:56 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ56:সে বলবে, আল্লাহর কসম, তুমি তো আমাকে প্রায় ধ্বংসই করে দিয়েছিলে।
56:He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:57 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ57:আমার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ না হলে আমিও যে গ্রেফতারকৃতদের সাথেই উপস্থিত হতাম।
57:If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell].
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:58 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ58:এখন আমাদের আর মৃত্যু হবে না।
58:Then, are we not to die
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:59 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ59:আমাদের প্রথম মৃত্যু ছাড়া এবং আমরা শাস্তি প্রাপ্তও হব না।
59:Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?"
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:60 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ60:নিশ্চয় এই মহা সাফল্য।
60:Indeed, this is the great attainment.
Page 7 · Ayat 61–70
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:61 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لِمِثْلِ هَـٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَـٰمِلُونَ61:এমন সাফল্যের জন্যে পরিশ্রমীদের পরিশ্রম করা উচিত।
61:For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:62 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ62:এই কি উত্তম আপ্যায়ন, না যাক্কুম বৃক্ষ?
62:Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:63 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـٰهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ63:আমি যালেমদের জন্যে একে বিপদ করেছি।
63:Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:64 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ64:এটি একটি বৃক্ষ, যা উদগত হয় জাহান্নামের মূলে।
64:Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:65 — Word-by-Word Meaning
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ65:এর গুচ্ছ শয়তানের মস্তকের মত।
65:Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:66 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَـَٔاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ66:কাফেররা একে ভক্ষণ করবে এবং এর দ্বারা উদর পূর্ণ করবে।
66:And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:67 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ67:তদুপরি তাদেরকে দেয়া হবে। ফুটন্ত পানির মিশ্রণ,
67:Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:68 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ68:অতঃপর তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন হবে জাহান্নামের দিকে।
68:Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:69 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُ ضَآلِّينَ69:তারা তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছিল বিপথগামী।
69:Indeed they found their fathers astray.

فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ70:অতঃপর তারা তদের পদাংক অনুসরণে তৎপর ছিল।
70:So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps.
Page 8 · Ayat 71–80
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:71 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ71:তাদের পূর্বেও অগ্রবর্তীদের অধিকাংশ বিপথগামী হয়েছিল।
71:And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples,

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ72:আমি তাদের মধ্যে ভীতি প্রদর্শনকারী প্রেরণ করেছিলাম।
72:And We had already sent among them warners.

فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ73:অতএব লক্ষ্য করুন, যাদেরকে ভীতিপ্রদর্শণ করা হয়েছিল, তাদের পরিণতি কি হয়েছে।

وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ75:আর নূহ আমাকে ডেকেছিল। আর কি চমৎকারভাবে আমি তার ডাকে সাড়া দিয়েছিলাম।
75:And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:76 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ76:আমি তাকে ও তার পরিবারবর্গকে এক মহাসংকট থেকে রক্ষা করেছিলাম।
76:And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ81:সে ছিল আমার ঈমানদার বান্দাদের অন্যতম।
81:Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ91:অতঃপর সে তাদের দেবালয়ে, গিয়ে ঢুকল এবং বললঃ তোমরা খাচ্ছ না কেন?
91:Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?

قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَـٰنًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ97:তারা বললঃ এর জন্যে একটি ভিত নির্মাণ কর এবং অতঃপর তাকে আগুনের স্তুপে নিক্ষেপ কর।
97:They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."

فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ98:তারপর তারা তার বিরুদ্ধে মহা ষড়যন্ত্র আঁটতে চাইল, কিন্তু আমি তাদেরকেই পরাভূত করে দিলাম।
98:And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.

وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ99:সে বললঃ আমি আমার পালনকর্তার দিকে চললাম, তিনি আমাকে পথপ্রদর্শন করবেন।

فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ حَلِيمٍ101:সুতরাং আমি তাকে এক সহনশীল পুত্রের সুসংবাদ দান করলাম।
101:So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَـٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ102:অতঃপর সে যখন পিতার সাথে চলাফেরা করার বয়সে উপনীত হল, তখন ইব্রাহীম তাকে বললঃ বৎস! আমি স্বপ্নে দেখিযে, তোমাকে যবেহ করছি; এখন তোমার অভিমত কি দেখ। সে বললঃ পিতাঃ! আপনাকে যা আদেশ করা হয়েছে, তাই করুন। আল্লাহ চাহে তো আপনি আমাকে সবরকারী পাবেন।
102:And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:103 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ103:যখন পিতা-পুত্র উভয়েই আনুগত্য প্রকাশ করল এবং ইব্রাহীম তাকে যবেহ করার জন্যে শায়িত করল।
103:And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,

139:And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.

إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ140:যখন পালিয়ে তিনি বোঝাই নৌকায় গিয়ে পৌঁছেছিলেন।
140:[Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship.
Page 15 · Ayat 141–150
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:141 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ141:অতঃপর লটারী (সুরতি) করালে তিনি দোষী সাব্যস্ত হলেন।
141:And he drew lots and was among the losers.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:142 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ142:অতঃপর একটি মাছ তাঁকে গিলে ফেলল, তখন তিনি অপরাধী গণ্য হয়েছিলেন।
142:Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:143 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ143:যদি তিনি আল্লাহর তসবীহ পাঠ না করতেন,
143:And had he not been of those who exalt Allah,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:144 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ144:তবে তাঁকে কেয়ামত দিবস পর্যন্ত মাছের পেটেই থাকতে হত।
144:He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:145 — Word-by-Word Meaning
۞ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ145:অতঃপর আমি তাঁকে এক বিস্তীর্ণ-বিজন প্রান্তরে নিক্ষেপ করলাম, তখন তিনি ছিলেন রুগ্ন।
145:But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:146 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ146:আমি তাঁর উপর এক লতাবিশিষ্ট বৃক্ষ উদগত করলাম।
146:And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:147 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ147:এবং তাঁকে, লক্ষ বা ততোধিক লোকের প্রতি প্রেরণ করলাম।
147:And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:148 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ148:তারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করল অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে নির্ধারিত সময় পর্যন্ত জীবনোপভোগ করতে দিলাম।
148:And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:149 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ149:এবার তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন, তোমার পালনকর্তার জন্যে কি কন্যা সন্তান রয়েছে এবং তাদের জন্যে কি পুত্র-সন্তান।
149:So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:150 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَـٰثًا وَهُمْ شَـٰهِدُونَ150:না কি আমি তাদের উপস্থিতিতে ফেরেশতাগণকে নারীরূপে সৃষ্টি করেছি?
150:Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"
Page 16 · Ayat 151–160
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:151 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ151:জেনো, তারা মনগড়া উক্তি করে যে,
151:Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:152 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ152:আল্লাহ সন্তান জন্ম দিয়েছেন। নিশ্চয় তারা মিথ্যাবাদী।
152:" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:153 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ153:তিনি কি পুত্র-সন্তানের স্থলে কন্যা-সন্তান পছন্দ করেছেন?
153:Has He chosen daughters over sons?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:154 — Word-by-Word Meaning
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ154:তোমাদের কি হল? তোমাদের এ কেমন সিন্ধান্ত?
154:What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:155 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ155:তোমরা কি অনুধাবন কর না?
155:Then will you not be reminded?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:156 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ مُّبِينٌ156:না কি তোমাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট কোন দলীল রয়েছে?
156:Or do you have a clear authority?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:157 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ157:তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে তোমাদের কিতাব আন।
157:Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:158 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ158:তারা আল্লাহ ও জ্বিনদের মধ্যে সম্পর্ক সাব্যস্ত করেছে, অথচ জ্বিনেরা জানে যে, তারা গ্রেফতার হয়ে আসবে।
158:And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment].
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:159 — Word-by-Word Meaning
سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ159:তারা যা বলে তা থেকে আল্লাহ পবিত্র।
159:Exalted is Allah above what they describe,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:160 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ160:তবে যারা আল্লাহর নিষ্ঠাবান বান্দা, তারা গ্রেফতার হয়ে আসবে না।
160:Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].
Page 17 · Ayat 161–170
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:161 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ161:অতএব তোমরা এবং তোমরা যাদের উপাসনা কর,
161:So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:162 — Word-by-Word Meaning
مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَـٰتِنِينَ162:তাদের কাউকেই তোমরা আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে বিভ্রান্ত করতে পারবে না।
162:You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:163 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ163:শুধুমাত্র তাদের ছাড়া যারা জাহান্নামে পৌছাবে।
163:Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:164 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ164:আমাদের প্রত্যেকের জন্য রয়েছে নির্দিষ্ট স্থান।
164:[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:165 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ165:এবং আমরাই সারিবদ্ধভাবে দন্ডায়মান থাকি।
165:And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:166 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ166:এবং আমরাই আল্লাহর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করি।
166:And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah."

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ167:তারা তো বলতঃ
167:And indeed, the disbelievers used to say,

لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ168:যদি আমাদের কাছে পূর্ববর্তীদের কোন উপদেশ থাকত,
168:"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,

لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ169:তবে আমরা অবশ্যই আল্লাহর মনোনীত বান্দা হতাম।
169:We would have been the chosen servants of Allah."
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:170 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ170:বস্তুতঃ তারা এই কোরআনকে অস্বীকার করেছে। এখন শীঘ্রই তারা জেনে নিতে পারবে,
170:But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.
Page 18 · Ayat 171–180
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:171 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ171:আমার রাসূল ও বান্দাগণের ব্যাপারে আমার এই বাক্য সত্য হয়েছে যে,
171:And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:172 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ172:অবশ্যই তারা সাহায্য প্রাপ্ত হয়।
172:[That] indeed, they would be those given victory
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:173 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ173:আর আমার বাহিনীই হয় বিজয়ী।
173:And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:174 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ174:অতএব আপনি কিছুকালের জন্যে তাদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন।
174:So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:175 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ175:এবং তাদেরকে দেখতে থাকুন। শীঘ্রই তারাও এর পরিণাম দেখে নেবে।
175:And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:176 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ176:আমার আযাব কি তারা দ্রুত কামনা করে?
176:Then for Our punishment are they impatient?
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:177 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ177:অতঃপর যখন তাদের আঙ্গিনায় আযাব নাযিল হবে, তখন যাদেরকে সতর্ক করা হয়েছিল, তাদের সকাল বেলাটি হবে খুবই মন্দ।
177:But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:178 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ178:আপনি কিছুকালের জন্যে তাদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন।
178:And leave them for a time.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:179 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ179:এবং দেখতে থাকুন, শীঘ্রই তারাও এর পরিণাম দেখে নেবে।
179:And see, for they are going to see.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:180 — Word-by-Word Meaning
سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ180:পবিত্র আপনার পরওয়ারদেগারের সত্তা, তিনি সম্মানিত ও পবিত্র যা তারা বর্ণনা করে তা থেকে।
180:Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
Page 19 · Ayat 181–182
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:181 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ181:পয়গম্বরগণের প্রতি সালাম বর্ষিত হোক।
181:And peace upon the messengers.
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:182 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ182:সমস্ত প্রশংসা বিশ্বপালক আল্লাহর নিমিত্ত।
182:And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
