Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:1 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ1:রাজ্যাধিপতি, পবিত্র, পরাক্রমশালী ও প্রজ্ঞাময় আল্লাহর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করে, যা কিছু আছে নভোমন্ডলে ও যা কিছু আছে ভূমন্ডলে।
1:Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:2 — Word-by-Word Meaning
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ فِى ٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ2:তিনিই নিরক্ষরদের মধ্য থেকে একজন রসূল প্রেরণ করেছেন, যিনি তাদের কাছে পাঠ করেন তার আয়াতসমূহ, তাদেরকে পবিত্র করেন এবং শিক্ষা দেন কিতাব ও হিকমত। ইতিপূর্বে তারা ছিল ঘোর পথভ্রষ্টতায় লিপ্ত।
2:It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error -
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:3 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَءَاخَرِي مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا۟ بِهِمْ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ3:এই রসূল প্রেরিত হয়েছেন অন্য আরও লোকদের জন্যে, যারা এখনও তাদের সাথে মিলিত হয়নি। তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
3:And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:4 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ4:এটা আল্লাহর কৃপা, যাকে ইচ্ছা তিনি তা দান করেন। আল্লাহ মহাকৃপাশীল।
4:That is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:5 — Word-by-Word Meaning
مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ حُمِّلُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ ٱلْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارًۢا بِئْسَ مَثَلُ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ5:যাদেরকে তওরাত দেয়া হয়েছিল, অতঃপর তারা তার অনুসরণ করেনি, তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত সেই গাধা, যে পুস্তক বহন করে, যারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে, তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত কত নিকৃষ্ট। আল্লাহ জালেম সম্প্রদায়কে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।
5:The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:6 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوٓا۟ إِن زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا۟ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ6:বলুন হে ইহুদীগণ, যদি তোমরা দাবী কর যে, তোমরাই আল্লাহর বন্ধু-অন্য কোন মানব নয়, তবে তোমরা মৃত্যু কামনা কর যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও।
6:Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, excluding the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful."
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:7 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَلَا يَتَمَنَّوْنَهُۥٓ أَبَدًۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ7:তারা নিজেদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে কখনও মৃত্যু কামনা করবে না। আল্লাহ জালেমদের সম্পর্কে সম্যক অবগত আছেন।
7:But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:8 — Word-by-Word Meaning
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْمَوْتَ ٱلَّذِى تَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَـٰقِيكُمْ ۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَـٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ8:বলুন, তোমরা যে মৃত্যু থেকে পলায়নপর, সেই মৃত্যু অবশ্যই তোমাদের মুখামুখি হবে, অতঃপর তোমরা অদৃশ্য, দৃশ্যের জ্ঞানী আল্লাহর কাছে উপস্থিত হবে। তিনি তোমাদেরকে জানিয়ে দিবেন সেসব কর্ম, যা তোমরা করতে।
8:Say, "Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do."
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:9 — Word-by-Word Meaning
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓ إِذَا نُودِىَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوْمِ ٱلْجُمُعَةِ فَٱسْعَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُوا۟ ٱلْبَيْعَ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ9:মুমিনগণ, জুমআর দিনে যখন নামাযের আযান দেয়া হয়, তখন তোমরা আল্লাহর স্মরণের পানে ত্বরা কর এবং বেচাকেনা বন্ধ কর। এটা তোমাদের জন্যে উত্তম যদি তোমরা বুঝ।
9:O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.
Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:10 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ10:অতঃপর নামায সমাপ্ত হলে তোমরা পৃথিবীতে ছড়িয়ে পড় এবং আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ তালাশ কর ও আল্লাহকে অধিক স্মরণ কর, যাতে তোমরা সফলকাম হও।
10:And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah often that you may succeed.

Surah Al-Jumu'a 62:11 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ تِجَـٰرَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا ٱنفَضُّوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَآئِمًا قُلْ مَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهْوِ وَمِنَ ٱلتِّجَـٰرَةِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ11:তারা যখন কোন ব্যবসায়ের সুযোগ অথবা ক্রীড়াকৌতুক দেখে তখন আপনাকে দাঁড়ানো অবস্থায় রেখে তারা সেদিকে ছুটে যায়। বলুনঃ আল্লাহর কাছে যা আছে, তা ক্রীড়াকৌতুক ও ব্যবসায় অপেক্ষা উৎকৃষ্ট। আল্লাহ সর্বোত্তম রিযিকদাতা।
11:But when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, "What is with Allah is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allah is the best of providers."
