Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:1 — Word-by-Word Meaning
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَـٰشِيَةِ1:আপনার কাছে আচ্ছন্নকারী কেয়ামতের বৃত্তান্ত পৌঁছেছে কি?
1:Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:2 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَـٰشِعَةٌ2:অনেক মুখমন্ডল সেদিন হবে লাঞ্ছিত,
2:[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:3 — Word-by-Word Meaning
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ3:ক্লিষ্ট, ক্লান্ত।
3:Working [hard] and exhausted.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:4 — Word-by-Word Meaning
تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً4:তারা জ্বলন্ত আগুনে পতিত হবে।
4:They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:5 — Word-by-Word Meaning
تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَ5:তাদেরকে ফুটন্ত নহর থেকে পান করানো হবে।
5:They will be given drink from a boiling spring.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:6 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ6:কন্টকপূর্ণ ঝাড় ব্যতীত তাদের জন্যে কোন খাদ্য নেই।
6:For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:7 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍ7:এটা তাদেরকে পুষ্ট করবে না এবং ক্ষুধায়ও উপকার করবে না।
7:Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:8 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ8:অনেক মুখমন্ডল সেদিন হবে, সজীব,
8:[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:9 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ9:তাদের কর্মের কারণে সন্তুষ্ট।
9:With their effort [they are] satisfied

فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ10:তারা থাকবে, সুউচ্চ জান্নাতে।

Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:11 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَـٰغِيَةً11:তথায় শুনবে না কোন অসার কথাবার্তা।
11:Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:12 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ12:তথায় থাকবে প্রবাহিত ঝরণা।
12:Within it is a flowing spring.

فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوعَةٌ13:তথায় থাকবে উন্নত সুসজ্জিত আসন।
13:Within it are couches raised high

وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ14:এবং সংরক্ষিত পানপাত্র
14:And cups put in place

وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ15:এবং সারি সারি গালিচা
15:And cushions lined up
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:16 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ16:এবং বিস্তৃত বিছানো কার্পেট।
16:And carpets spread around.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:17 — Word-by-Word Meaning
أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ17:তারা কি উষ্ট্রের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে না যে, তা কিভাবে সৃষ্টি করা হয়েছে?
17:Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:18 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ18:এবং আকাশের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে না যে, তা কিভাবে উচ্চ করা হয়েছে?
18:And at the sky - how it is raised?
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:19 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ19:এবং পাহাড়ের দিকে যে, তা কিভাবে স্থাপন করা হয়েছে?
19:And at the mountains - how they are erected?
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:20 — Word-by-Word Meaning
وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ20:এবং পৃথিবীর দিকে যে, তা কিভাবে সমতল বিছানো হয়েছে?

Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:21 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ21:অতএব, আপনি উপদেশ দিন, আপনি তো কেবল একজন উপদেশদাতা,
21:So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:22 — Word-by-Word Meaning
لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ22:আপনি তাদের শাসক নন,
22:You are not over them a controller.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:23 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ23:কিন্তু যে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় ও কাফের হয়ে যায়,
23:However, he who turns away and disbelieves -
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:24 — Word-by-Word Meaning
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ24:আল্লাহ তাকে মহা আযাব দেবেন।
24:Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:25 — Word-by-Word Meaning
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ25:নিশ্চয় তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন আমারই নিকট,
25:Indeed, to Us is their return.
Surah Al-Ghaashiya 88:26 — Word-by-Word Meaning
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم26:অতঃপর তাদের হিসাব-নিকাশ আমারই দায়িত্ব।
26:Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
